Seeking a more complete state of wellness is a time consuming task - some of us more than others. We spend time and energy on stress reduction exercise memberships, equipment and regimes. We look at the need for work-life balance as a means of managing the feelings of emotional or physical tension. All of this type of activity can add to modern-day stressors.

Why Try VibroAcoustic Therapy? The BETAR system is one type of sound therapy that involves passing pure low frequency sine wave vibrations into the body via a platform device with embedded transducers and magnetic field generators. This therapy was first developed in Norway by Olav Skille in the early 1980s and has been much improved upon by companies such as BETAR, Inc.

Several years ago the FDA approved VibroAcoustic Therapy for:

increasing lymphatic fluid circulation

reducing pain caused by inflammation

increasing overall mobility

and is currently being evaluated to treat a number of conditions including:

wide spread body pain

Epstein Bar Syndrome

fibromyalgia

cerebral palsy

Alzheimer's disease

VibroAcoustic Therapy is closely related to Physio Acoustic Therapy (PAT) which was first explored and developed by Petri Lehikoinen in Finland. Both are examples of low frequency sound stimulation (LFSS). More broadly, they are subsets of Rhythmic Sensory Stimulation (RSS) which is being studied across a range of sensory modalities.

Decades of research has shown conclusive results when VibroAcoustic Therapy or Harmonic Resonance Immersion is used in addition to a medical practitioner’s advice and medically prescribed treatments. The benefits can be dramatic in assisting treatments for such conditions:

Physical

Reducing blood pressure

Reducing stress

Minimizing pain

Deep tissue massage

Sensory awareness

Reduce nausea

Reducing fatigue

Reduce headache, anxiety

Facilitate the Relaxation Response

Relax muscular hypertonicity

Improve range of motion

Reducing drug dependency

And can aid in the process of healing from medical procedures.

Emotional

Easing the effects of depression

Promoting serenity by soothing restless behaviors

Promote a deep inner rest from the rigors of constant stressor

Promote a general sense of wellbeing

This is an important double-blind study on the effects of VibroAcoustic Therapies:
